Former Tottenham coach, Tim Sherwood, has expressed his astonishment that England manager Thomas Tuchel overlooked Real Madrid’s Trent Alexander-Arnold and selected Arsenal’s Ben White instead.
Tuchel recently announced England’s lineup for their forthcoming friendlies against Japan and Uruguay, respectively, and did not include Alexander-Arnold in the roster.
In response to Alexander-Arnold’s omission from the England team, Sherwood told Sky Sports, “I’m surprised, yet I’m happy for Ben White.”
“Tuchel has chosen thirty-seven players with White included, and still, there is no Alexander-Arnold.”
“To me, that is astonishing; I cannot comprehend that, but he is the one in charge.”
