At sixteen, Ola Dips began engaging in musical pursuits. Initially starting as a text battler, he gained prominence within Facebook rap battles. He notably triumphed over Don Geo in one of his pivotal contests.
His victory at “King is here,” a competition hosted by D’banj, is often viewed as his initial and most significant breakthrough. He earned recognition from both the public and fellow rappers. Ola also secured his first recording agreement with the Nigerian music label EDGE Records.

He performed a rendition of a Drake and Trey song, which the audience received with great enthusiasm.

News regarding Ola Dips’ termination from LRR/EDGE Records shocked enthusiasts of the Nigerian music industry when it broke on July 1, 2019. He subsequently recorded a song in which he accused Label CEO Reminisce of contract violation and expressed his grievances.
He claimed this situation arose due to his career not progressing as swiftly as promised, alongside inadequate investment in his musical endeavors. The label contended they were merely offering assistance; a formal contract was non-existent.
In the song, Ola Dips stated he felt deceived, leaving the label with only 23,000 ($63) remaining in his account.

On November 15, 2023, a video featuring the rapper emerged online, showcasing him asking a friend, identified on Instagram as OnlyOneLifetime, to take him to the hospital.
Before his hospital visit, Oladips posted a message on his Instagram story asking his friend, who had left to procure medication, to return home.
The footage captures Oladips asking his companion for a ride to the hospital. His friends behind him were heard calling out his name as he seemingly fainted while being transported.
The primary cause of his illness has not been disclosed. Regrettably, his management announced his passing on November 15, 2023, stating he had died the previous day, November 14, 2023. May his soul find eternal rest.
