Daniel Etese Benson, widely recognized by his stage moniker BNXN (pronounced as Benson, formerly Buju), is a Nigerian vocalist and lyricist born on May 19, 1997. Celebrated for his catchy hooks and deep vocals, BNXN has emerged as a prominent entity in the Nigerian Afro-fusion genre.

Originally from Akwa Ibom State, BNXN was born in Gbagada, Lagos State and spent his childhood in Lagos until his family relocated to Ogun State. Inspired by Nigerian music icons such as 2Baba and Burna Boy, he cultivated a profound love for music early in his life.

In October 2021, he unveiled his inaugural EP titled “Sorry I’m Late” under T.Y.E/EMPIRE. The project showcased contributions from leading producers like Rexxie, Timi Jay, and a feature from The Cavemen. The release was warmly embraced and signified his emergence as a notable force in Nigerian music.

His international appeal surged when he partnered with Pheelz on the chart-topping single “Finesse” in March 2022, which reached #52 on the UK Official Singles Chart. That same year, he collaborated with UK rapper Dave and producer Jae5 on the song “Propeller,” which debuted at #38 in the UK Top 40.

BNXN released his second EP, “Bad Since ‘97,” in August 2022, featuring artists such as Wizkid, Olamide, and Wande Coal. His contributions earned him the Next Rated Artist accolade at The Headies 2022, held in Atlanta, USA.

He launched his first studio album, “Sincerely, Benson,” on October 4, 2023, comprising 15 tracks with collaborations from global stars like Popcaan and Headie One.
