Anita Oyakhilome was brought up in a family with five siblings, where she was the first daughter.
Her parents were quite well-off, as her father worked for the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).
Anita finished her education at Ambrose Alli University (AAU) in Ekpoma, achieving a degree in English Language.
Nearly 23 years ago (in 1991), she got married when she became the partner of pastor Chris Oyakhilome. They encountered each other while she was studying at the university and eventually wed in Lagos. Together, they had two beautiful daughters – Charlyn and Sharon.
Unfortunately, she parted ways and divorced pastor Chris, and her current surname is Anita Ebhodaghe.
Coincidentally, many people criticized pastor Chris for marrying a light-skinned woman (Anita). The community believes there were plenty of admirable and esteemed black women in Nigeria ready to marry and support pastor Chris as a dedicated spouse.
However, such assertions were baseless since pastor Anita possesses Nigerian-Swiss ancestry. Furthermore, she originates from the same area as pastor Chris – Edo state.
Anita is noted as the author of multiple books, including Confession for Living, Handbook for Successful Living, Unending Springs of Joy, and others.
While married to Pastor Chris, Anita acted as the Director of Christ Embassy’s International Office. She also managed operations in the British area. Additionally, she is a co-founder of Christ Embassy.
