BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Exodus 22-24
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Genesis 40:1-22 (KJV)
1 And it came to pass after these events, that the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker had displeased their lord the king of Egypt.
2 And Pharaoh was furious with two of his officials, with the chief of the butlers, and with the chief of the bakers.
3 So he placed them in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the location where Joseph was confined.
4 And the captain of the guard entrusted Joseph with them, and he attended to them: and they remained for a time in custody.
5 Both of them had a dream on the same night, each man his dream, according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were imprisoned.
6 Joseph came to them in the morning, and observed them, and, lo, they were distressed.
7 And he inquired of Pharaoh’s officers that were with him in the custody of his lord’s house, saying, Why are you looking so dejected today?
8 And they replied to him, We have had a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said to them, Do not interpretations belong to God? please tell me your dreams.
9 The chief butler recounts his dream to Joseph, stating, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me;
10 And on the vine were three branches: it was as though it budded, and blossoms flourished; and the clusters thereof produced ripe grapes:
11 And Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and handed the cup to Pharaoh.
12 And Joseph said to him, This is the interpretation: The three branches are three days:
13 Yet within three days, Pharaoh will elevate your head, and restore you to your position: and you will deliver Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, as you did before when you were his butler.
14 But remember me when it goes well with you, and show kindness to me, I beseech you, and mention me unto Pharaoh, and get me out of this house:
15 For I was indeed taken away from the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should place me into the dungeon.
16 When the chief baker observed that the interpretation was favorable, he said to Joseph, I too was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head:
17 And in the topmost basket there was all manner of baked goods for Pharaoh; and the birds ate them out of the basket upon my head.
18 And Joseph responded, This is the interpretation: The three baskets are three days:
19 Yet within three days, Pharaoh will lift your head off you, and hang you on a tree; and the birds will eat your flesh from off you.
20 And it occurred on the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast for all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and the chief baker among his servants.
21 And he restored the chief butler to his former position; and he passed the cup into Pharaoh’s hand:
22 But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them.

The MESSAGE:
How can you activate favour in your life? Having recognized the significance and marvels of favour, it is now vital to learn how to summon it.
The book of Ephesians indicates that there is divine favour for those who genuinely love Jesus: “Grace [favour] be with all who sincerely love our Lord Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 6:24 NKJV). Hence, the primary method the Scriptures recommend for you to trigger favour in your life and reside continually in it is to love the Lord Jesus Christ earnestly. This signifies loving Him with all your heart, soul, and strength. It also conveys sincere love (love without pretense). You can achieve this by asking God to empower and assist you.
Another way to harvest God’s favour in your life is to extend favour to others. Ensure you are assisting someone else and showing kindness to them. In life, what you facilitate for others, God will accomplish for you. While in prison, the chief of the guard had assigned two of Pharaoh’s officials (the chief butler and the chief baker) under Joseph’s supervision. One day, Joseph noticed they were sorrowful and inquired why. Both shared their unsettling dream, and Joseph interpreted that Pharaoh would reinstate the chief butler but would execute the chief baker. All unfolded exactly as he interpreted a few days later. The pivotal lesson is that the favour Joseph extended was later reaped when Pharaoh had a dream and sought someone to interpret it. The chief baker eventually recalled Joseph and informed the king. Joseph’s interpretation of Pharaoh’s dream elevated him to Egypt’s Prime Minister. Thus, to unlock favour, sow favour in others’ lives.
Abraham grasped this concept and capitalized on it. He sowed into the life of a person favored by God — Melchizedek, the king of Salem and priest of God. Abraham provided him a tenth (tithe) of all his possessions. Hebrews 7:6-7 states “But he whose lineage is not counted amongst them received tithes from Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. And without question, the lesser is blessed by the greater.” Beloved, this same principle will apply to you. Invest your resources, time, and fidelity into the lives of those favored by God (your spiritual parents, biological parents who are in the Lord, etc.), and you will activate favour in your life.

- Father, anoint me with the anointing of favour, in the name of Jesus.
- By the power of favour, Father, elevate me to my next level, in the name of Jesus.
- Favour activators, my life is ready, enter now, in the name of Jesus.

- As favour brought Daniel recognition, promotion, and honor, Father, impart on me the anointing of favour to transform me into a success story, in the name of Jesus.
- Favour of God, draw my divine helpers to me, in the name of Jesus.
- Angel of favour, visit me today, in the name of Jesus.
- Gates of unimaginable favour and breakthroughs, open to me with fire, in the name of Jesus.
