He was born on the 28th of February 1985 in Kano State to Chukwuemeka Nwenweh and Grace Ifeyinwa Nwenweh, both hailing from Enugwu-Ukwu in Anambra State. He is of Igbo heritage, being the youngest of six siblings.
He turned 36 in February 2021.
Education
As per the available records, the Nollywood star attended Binta Mustapha Science Nursery and Primary School in Kano. He subsequently enrolled at Dennis Memorial Grammar Secondary School (DMGS) located in Onitsha, Anambra State.
Driven by his passion for the arts since childhood, he gained admission to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State, where he earned a degree in Theatre Arts.
Besides his undergraduate degree, he also possesses a master’s degree in Theatre and Film studies.
Professional Journey
He commenced his career in 2001, making his entry in the Chris Ubani-directed film ‘Holy Prostitute’, portraying a minor character as a medical doctor, with merely three scenes.
Post-graduation, he participated in auditions and secured several cameo roles in home movies.
Nonetheless, he gained widespread recognition in 2012 by playing “Ugo” in “The Illiterate”.
As a writer, Erics’ first published work, “Cell 2”, has gained significant recognition and is utilized in numerous Nigerian tertiary institutions for theatrical productions and academic endeavors.
