1st Formula

Necessary Ingredients:

Shea butter

Banana peels or cocoa pods

Dried herbs or essential oils

Distilled water

The required tools include:

Two heat-resistant bowls of various sizes

Spatula Moulds

Skimmer spoon

To accomplish this, grind the banana peels or the cocoa pods into ashes until they resemble fine powder. Next, heat the water without allowing it to boil, pour in the ash powder, and let it dissolve. You will need to melt the shea butter gently, ensuring it does not overheat.

Once completed, combine the melted butter with the water containing the ashes, then mix gently while continuing to heat the blend using heat-resistant bowls.

Allow it to sit for a few days, after which you will observe some liquid; at this point, you can begin using it.

2nd Formula

Necessary Ingredients:

2 tablespoons of turmeric powder

2 tablespoons of powdered milk

2 tablespoons of shea butter

2 tablespoons of powdered oatmeal

5 tablespoons of powdered orange peel

4 tablespoons of raw honey

1 tablespoon of coconut oil

1 tablespoon of powdered sandalwood

½ tablespoon of sulfur (powdered)

50ml of fresh lemon juice

500g of African black soap (melt and pour base)

Warm rice water

The tools required:

Mortar and pestle

Measuring scales and a measuring spoon

Several bowls

Take a bowl and pour in the rice water, mixing the liquid with the water using the spatula. Once everything is blended, you can start incorporating the powdered turmeric, orange peel, sulfur, sandalwood, and milk.

Pound everything very carefully and thoroughly. Afterward, melt the shea butter until it becomes liquid and add it to the other ingredients. Incorporate the lemon juice and stir the mixture to achieve a completely smooth consistency. Then pour it into a container and let it solidify.

3rd Formula

This process involves the use of lye, therefore you will need safety equipment for your eyes and hands.

Necessary Ingredients:

70g of potash base

Distilled water
Castor oil (can be substituted with palm oil)

120ml of melted coconut butter

Ingredients for the potash base:

Organic potash

Distilled water

First, prepare the potash base as well as the potash derived from clay. Utilize a steel bowl to mix water with the potash. Following this, place the bowl over the fire and heat until the potash reaches a boil for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, remove it to cool down. Additionally, set the oils in a deep pot over low heat to melt the coconut oil.

Be aware that any pot used for this purpose cannot be reused afterwards.

At this point

Take approximately 70g of potash base and combine it with 180ml of warm water, allowing it to dissolve. Then pour it into the oil mixture. Following that, stir until the mixtures combine and it starts to thicken.

At this moment, you can remove the pot from the heat and add any essential oils you prefer.

Subsequently, pour the mixture into moulds and let it solidify. This process should take between 24 to 48 hours. Afterward, extract the bars from the moulds and allow them to cure for two weeks. At this point, it’s ready for use.
