Angelyne was born on October 2, 1950, in Chmielnik, Poland. Her birth name is Ronia Tamar Goldberg. She was born to her parents, Bronia Zernicka and Hendrik Goldberg, also recognized as Henry. Her parents met during World War II and survived multiple Nazi concentration camps.

Following Angelyne’s birth, her family moved to Israel. They lived there for some time before relocating to the United States in 1959. She has a younger sister named Annette. Eventually, they settled in Fairfax, Los Angeles. At age 14, she lost her mother to cancer in 1965. Her relationship with her father was difficult, as he occasionally exhibited abusive behavior towards her.
