Stephen was born on June 13, 1974, in Wimbledon, London, to Donna Gay and Richard Glover. His father’s job necessitated frequent travel. He attended the American School in London before progressing to the University of Miami. After leaving there, he transferred to the University of New Mexico and ultimately graduated from Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College in 1997.
Later in his career, he faced allegations of illegally possessing cocaine. His substance abuse and bipolar disorder contributed to unpredictable behaviour, culminating in a suicide attempt.
Since then, he has intermittently sought help in rehabilitation and mental health facilities to confront his challenges.
