Adedeji Adeleke, Davido’s father, is a business magnate, and his mother, Veronica Adeleke, was an academic. Davido is the youngest of three siblings and the second son of his father.

He attended British International School in Lagos before returning to the United States at the age of 16 to study business management at Oakwood University in Alabama.

While at Oakwood, Davido acquired musical instruments and began crafting beats. He also founded the music group KB International with his cousins B-Red and Sina Rambo. Davido departed from Oakwood University to concentrate on music full-time and relocated to London to enhance his vocal skills.
