David William Duchovny, often referred to as David Duchovny, is an American actor, writer, producer, director, novelist, and singer-songwriter. Born on 7 August 1960 in New York, U.S., to parents Amram ‘Ami’ Ducovny and Margaret ‘Meg’ Miller, David has two siblings: an elder brother named Daniel and a younger sister named Laurie. He completed his high school education at The Collegiate School For Boys in Manhattan, where he graduated as head boy. Following that, he attended Princeton University and achieved a Phi Beta Kappa status, graduating summa cum laude in 1982 with a B.A. in English Literature. Subsequently, he earned an M.A. in English Literature from Yale University and commenced work on his Ph.D., which remains incomplete.
In 1987, David featured in a commercial for Lowenbrau beer. The following year, he appeared in the film Working Girl. In 1992, he played a role in the biographical movie Chaplin, directed by Richard Attenborough, which depicted the life of Charlie Chaplin.
