“Uniting for Harmony: Darazo Urges Tinubu to Rally Danjuma, Obasanjo, and Others for Nigeria’s Peace”

Bauchi State-based political figure and noteworthy Bola Ahmed Tinubu supporter, Khamis Musa Darazo, has urged Nigeria’s esteemed elder statesmen to aid President Tinubu’s initiatives for fostering national tranquility and stability.

In a declaration issued to reporters in Bauchi, Darazo specifically requested Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, Yakubu Gowon, and Abdulsalami Abubakar to contribute their wisdom and influence to the President’s peace-promoting efforts.

Characterizing these individuals as “Guardians of Nigeria’s heritage, cohesion, and governance,” Darazo emphasized their significant role in steering the country through tumultuous times.

“At this crucial juncture in our nation’s path, I implore TY Danjuma, Obasanjo, IBB, Gowon, and Abdulsalami Abubakar to collaborate with President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Their insight and guidance are vital to securing enduring peace throughout Nigeria,” Darazo stated.

He pointed out that within the Renewed Hope Agenda, President Tinubu has made security and peace-promotion a priority, but insisted that lasting stability necessitates a cohesive leadership that merges the wisdom of former leaders with the current administration’s aspirations.

“Each of these elder statesmen has been instrumental in maintaining Nigeria’s unity at various points. Their shared voice encompasses moral authority and will bolster public trust in the administration’s security endeavors,” he continued.

Darazo expressed that peace is a collective obligation, attainable solely through cooperation, reconciliation, and a unified national objective. He urged leaders—both past and present—to rise above political, regional, and personal divides for the welfare of the nation.

“Nigeria requires every effort. Supporting President Tinubu’s peace initiative is synonymous with supporting the nation. If our elders unite, Nigeria will emerge more resilient,” he concluded.
