Two travelers hurt in suspected bandit attack on Zamfara road



Two individuals were harmed when alleged robbers assailed a group of persons returning from a condolence visit along the Gusau-Tsafe route in Zamfara State.

The occurrence was revealed in a message posted on X on Sunday by security expert Bakatsine.

Per the post, the individuals were returning from Kaduna after participating in a burial when the armed assailants ambushed them near Magazu in Tsafe Local Government Area of the state.

Among those present in the group were Imam Ridwan Umar Danau, Mallam Sirinbai, and Hassan Musa.

Though no one was killed or kidnapped during the assault, two participants in the group incurred gunshot injuries.

Bakatsine reported that Mallam Sirinbai was wounded in the leg, while Hassan Musa sustained gunshot injuries to both his arm and leg.

The injured individuals were transported to the Federal Medical Centre, where they are presently undergoing treatment.
