News articles have disclosed that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is seeking President Muhammadu Buhari’s disqualification from the 2019 presidential election. Based on the reports, the party’s National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, allegedly made this request during PDP’s gathering in Enugu state on Friday, February 1, 2019. NAIJATAB informs that Secondus accused Buhari of orchestrating the involvement of mercenaries from Niger Republic to manipulate the election. He stated, “By the authority vested in me as the PDP national chairman, I implore the INEC Chairman, Mr. Yakubu to disqualify Buhari from participating in the election.” Stay tuned for additional updates.

Suspected assassins reportedly storm Okorocha’s house

According to reports by The Nation unknown gunmen raided Okorocha’s house located Ogboko, Ideato South Council Area of Imo State. The incident happened on the night on Friday, May 31 as the gunmen reportedly overpowered security operatives and gained entraceinto the main building. A source knowledgeable of the development spoke on the condition of anonymity saying no valuables were removed from the house but the former governor’s bedroom and other places were thoroughly ransacked thereby raising suspicion that the invaders maybe hired assassins. Meanwhile, Senator Hope Uzodinma, representing Imo West senatorial district, reportedly described the former governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, as a serial electoral fraudster who should be in jail for sundry offences.
