Letter ordering the freeze of CJN Onnoghen’s accounts, released by CUPP
The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has revealed what it asserts to be an alleged scheme by the Buhari-led All Progressives Congress (APC) administration to “injure” the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen.”
Representative for the Coalition, Imo Ugochinyere, made the announcement on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, in a statement that included a letter from the office of the Attorney General of the Federation, directing the freezing of Onnoghen’s accounts.
As per the reports, the accounts specified in the letter are identical to those mentioned in a complaint against the CJN by a group known as the Anti-Corruption and Research Based Data Initiative (ARDI).
