BREAKING: Magnus Abe emerges SDP governorship candidate in Rivers
Former Senator of the Rivers South-East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Magnus Abe, has surfaced as the Social Democratic Party's gubernatorial candidate in Rivers State for the 2023 elections.
NAIJATAB NEWS previously reported that Abe announced yesterday his transition to SDP after leaving the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Abe was selected as the SDP gubernatorial candidate during a primary held in Port Harcourt on Saturday.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, senior official Pastor Emmanuel Isong oversaw the primaries, and representatives from the Department of State Services, DSS, and the Nigeria Police Force were also in attendance at the event.
