Kenyan president says terrorist attack over, militants dead
Kenya's leader, Uhuru Kenyatta, has stated that security forces have eradicated all four assailants who targeted a popular hotel and office complex in Nairobi.
He also verified that 14 civilians were slain during the assault.
Addressing the public today, Wednesday, January 16, 2019, Kenyatta mentioned that 14 “innocent souls” had been lost, but over 700 civilians were safely rescued.
As per reports, the assault commenced around 3 PM on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, starting with an explosion in the parking area, followed by a suicide bomb detonation in the hotel’s entrance.
