FG declares May 29 and June 12 public holidays

The federal government has declared Wednesday, May 29 and June 12, as public holidays to mark the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari and Democracy Day respectively. This was announced on Monday, May 20, by Nigeria’s minister of information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, in a press conference ahead of the inauguration of the second term in office of President Buhari. Going further, Lai Mohammed said people who desire to be invited to the presidential inauguration will be invited to Democracy Day.
