INEC postpones Kogi, Bayelsa guber elections, gives new date

After much speculations, it has been confirmed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that the governorship election in Kogi and Bayelsa States has been postponed. The commission had earlier on Thursday shifted the date for the Kogi and Bayelsa States governorship election from Nov. 2 to Nov. 16. The Commission disclosed this in a statement issued by its National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Mr Festus Okoye on Thursday in Abuja. Ekiti Guber Poll: APC wins first polling unit

The gubernatorial aspirant of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abiodun Oyebanji, has triumphed in his initial Polling Unit during the ongoing Ekiti State gubernatorial election. The APC achieved victory at polling unit 10, ward 10, Afao/Kajola, with Oyebanji garnering 20 votes to surpass the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Bisi Kolawole, who received only two votes. The representative of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Segun Oni, along with candidates from other parties, did not secure any votes in this polling unit. KEMI KILANI NEWS previously reported that Oyebanji had conveyed confidence in his ability to win the Ekiti gubernatorial election by a substantial margin.
