Who Is Adaora Umeoji? Meet The New Zenith Bank’s First Female GMD/CEO
Adaora Umeoji is set to assume the role of Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank Plc on June 1, 2024. She will replace Ebenezer Onyeagwu, whose five-year leadership as CEO concludes on May 31, 2024. Zenith Bank announced this on March 19, 2024, via a statement on its official website.
This appointment is momentous, as Adaora Umeoji will be the bank’s inaugural female GMD/CEO since its establishment in May 1990. As per a statement issued by the bank, “her recruitment aligns with the bank’s tradition of executive transitions, succession planning, and strategy of nurturing leaders from within.”
