The Appeals Court assembled in Abuja has affirmed the publisher of SaharaReporter, Omoyele Sowore, as the National Leader of the African Action Congress (AAC). Sowore had, in an appeal numbered CA/A/812/2019, challenged a High Court decision delivered by Justice Inyang Ekwo, which designated one Leonard Nzenwa as the Acting Leader of the party. The AAC presidential aspirant also urged the court through his lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, to invalidate the judgment of the lower court and grant all the demands put forth by the appellant. INEC Chairman Announces Exciting Extension for Voter Registration!

Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, has confirmed the extension of the current ongoing continuous voter registration. Yakubu mentioned that the electoral body will not finalize voter registration on June 30, 2022. He disclosed this during the Youth Vote Count concert on Saturday at the old parade ground, Abuja. “The second aspect is you want to know when this registration will conclude.
