Another building has just collapsed at No 57, Egerton Square, Oke Arin, Lagos Island with many feared dead and trapped in it. This is happening barely a few days after the building collapse which killed many school kids at Ita faji, Lagos Island last week. A pregnant woman, the proprietor of the nursery/Primary school and 19 others, including no fewer than 12 pupils died last Wednesday, witnesses and hospital sources said. The pregnant woman was one of the persons rescued from the rubble, immediately after the building collapsed, but she died in the hospital. Reports indicate that the early morning blaze severely damaged the flooring of the structure via the ceiling of the Chamber. The Deputy Managing Director of Zenith Bank, Dame (Dr) Adaora Umeoji, has constructed and contributed a top-notch building for the benefit of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Dobi, Abuja. The inauguration/dedication of the new parish structure to the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja occurred recently.
