The considerable scope of the law has apprehended former Nigerian deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, along with his partner Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu. The Department of State Services (DSS) has clarified the reasons behind the apprehension of Tukur Mamu, the principal negotiator between armed groups and captives of the Kaduna-bound train, by its agents at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano. NAIJATAB NEWS had previously reported that Mamu was seized along with his family members in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, and subsequently transported back to Nigeria. Mamu indicated that he was taken into custody and held at the Cairo International Airport for a duration of 24 hours while traveling to Saudi Arabia for lesser Hajj.
