
Outlaws allegedly assaulted Rafin Gora, a Fulani community in Tandama Ward of Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina in the early hours of the day.
As per a post shared by Bakatsine on X, the assault occurred around 1 a.m.
“Last night, at approximately 1am, outlaws targeted Rafin Gora, a Fulani community in Tandama Ward, Dandume LGA, Katsina State,” the post indicated.
The incursion left one inhabitant injured while the assailants absconded with hundreds of cattle.
“The incursion resulted in one inhabitant sustaining injuries and involved the theft of hundreds of cattle,” the source elaborated.
Nonetheless, inhabitants of the locality rapidly organized with local vigilantes and members of the Katsina Community Watch Committee (CWC) in Dandume to chase after the assailants.
Their initiative resulted in the retrieval of 100 of the stolen cattle.
“Local residents, collaborating with vigilantes and the Katsina Community Watch Committee (CWC) in Dandume, chased the assailants and successfully reclaimed 100 stolen cattle,” the post reported.
The assault reportedly occurred despite a peace accord previously established between stakeholders in the local government area and outlaws prior to the Ramadan season.
