Peggy Ovire Enoho, commonly referred to as Peggy, is a film producer, model, and actress from Nigeria. She was awarded the title of “Most Promising Actress Of The Year (English)” at the 2015 edition of the City People Entertainment Awards. Peggy received accolades for her contributions to English-language films.
Early life and education
Ovire originates from Ughelli in Delta State, Nigeria. Being the sixth and last child, she is the youngest in a family of six siblings. She spent most of her formative years in Lagos State, the same place of her birth. Ovire attended school in Surulere, Lagos State, starting at Itire Nursery and Primary School and later at AUD Secondary School, both situated in the same locality. She initiated her tertiary education at Delta State University, Abraka, but eventually completed it at Ambrose Alli University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance.
Career
In a conversation with The Punch print media outlet, Ovire disclosed that her journey in the entertainment industry commenced as a model before she made her foray into the Nigerian film scene, known as Nollywood. She expressed that her debut film was one produced by Uche Nancy. Her role in the television series Husbands of Lagos first brought her cinematic career into the limelight. Ovire mentioned that the show was instrumental in elevating her visibility and led to her gaining fame beyond her homeland, Nigeria. She participated in the production of Rising Sun alongside Ifeanyi Kalu, serving as a casting team member.
