He was appointed as the Minister by the military government of General Muritala Mohammed and oversaw the Master Plan of Abuja during his tenure as the FCT minister.
Prior to his ministerial appointment, Chief Mobolaji Ajose-Adeogun had served commendably as a two-term Federal Commissioner for Cooperatives and Supply in August 1975.
