One of the taken girls from Government Girls’ Secondary School, Chibok, in 2014, Mrs. Mary Ngoshe, has been discovered in Borno State by the units of the 26 Task Force Brigade.
The Nigerian Army announced that Ngoshe, found alongside a child believed to be hers, was captured by the troops while performing a patrol in the Ngoshe region of Borno State.
This declaration was shared by the Nigerian Army on its official Twitter handle, @HQNigerianArmy, on Wednesday morning.
The tweet reads, “Troops of the 26 Task Force Brigade on patrol in Ngoshe, Borno State, on 14 June 2022, apprehended one Mrs. Mary Ngoshe and her child. She is considered to be one of the abducted girls from GGSS Chibok in 2014. Further inquiries are ongoing.”
