Mercy Chinwo’s Biography
The gospel singer was born on the 5th of September 1990 in Port Harcourt, Rivers state; she will clock 31 in September. There are, however, no details about who are parents are.
Mercy is the first daughter and fourth child of her parent. Her mother trained her as she lost her father at a very young age.

Career
Like every gospel artiste and even some contemporary singers, Mercy Chinwo found her gift early as a child and was groomed in the church. She started singing at the age of 8 in the children church before she moved to adult church, where she continued to build on herself.
After equipping herself enough, she started lending her voice to gospel artists like Sammie Okposo, Joe Praize, Buchi, Chris Morgan and Preye.
The gospel singer then started participating in singing competitions and made it to Nigerian Idol in 2012 and emerged winner. This brought her to the limelight.
She released her debut single Testimony (2015) three years after emerging winner at Nigeria Idol and subsequently Igwe (2016). Since then, she has continued to release more gospel songs.
In 2017, she signed to the Eezee concept record label, a leading label for gospel singers in Nigeria.
