Melania Trump commenced her career with commercials at the young age of 16. At that age, she began collaborating with Slovenian fashion photographer Stane Jerko. She changed her surname from “Knavs” to “Knauss” as she embarked on her modeling journey.
At 18, Knauss began her modeling career in Milan, Italy. In 1992, she was the runner-up in Ljubljana’s Jana “Look of the Year” contest and secured an international modeling contract.
