“Harmony and Hope: Alia’s Vision for Benue’s Peace and Prosperity”

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has reiterated the significance of togetherness, shared accountability, and continuous prayers to attain tranquility and socio-economic advancement in Benue State.

He expressed this while welcoming Muslim faithful to an Iftar (breaking of fast) at the New Banquet Hall of Government House, Makurdi, where he referred to the event as both spiritually meaningful and symbolically unifying.

Gov. Alia observed that such alignment offers a profound chance for enhanced interfaith understanding and supplication.

“This uncommon convergence of Ramadan and Lent is a heavenly call for us to come together in prayers for our state and our nation.”

He recognized the challenges inherited by his leadership but asserted the government remains determined and proactive in tackling banditry and criminal behavior across the state.

“While insecurity is a pressing issue, we are unwavering in our dedication to addressing it firmly. With persistent efforts and divine grace, we shall prevail.”

“This adversary is termed insecurity, but we have commenced severing its head and it must be vanquished,” he declared.

He commended the federal government for its assistance in combating banditry in the State and urged citizens to exhibit vigilance and civic duty by providing security agencies with reliable and timely information.

He assured that his administration would continuously implement strategic approaches to protect lives and property across all local government areas.

Reaffirming his administration’s ambition for economic transformation, Governor Alia stressed that unity and collaboration among stakeholders are vital to redefining Benue as an appealing investment hub.

He stated, “You might not favor my appearance, but that is of little consequence. You don’t need to appreciate me. But think of Benue, cherish Benue and collaborate to make Benue prosperous once more.”

“I urge all individuals of good sense to join forces with me so we can transform Benue into a destination that draws everyone.”

According to his spokesman, Tersoo Kula, Gov Alia encouraged citizens to adopt the principles of love, mutual respect, and common objectives, highlighting that the shared aspirations of the populace significantly outweigh any divisive inclinations.
