Militants have liberated three captives of the Abuja–Kaduna train 24 hours following their threat to execute and sell the others as commodities in a video.
NAIJATAB NEWS had informed that militants published a video over the weekend warning to ravage the nation and convert the region into a slaughterhouse unless the central government met their requests.
Kaduna-based publisher Tukur Mamu, who verified their liberation, stated that the female and two male captives have reunited with their relatives, Daily Trust reports.
“Indeed, three individuals have been freed, one female and two males. However, please note, I’m not involved in the negotiations that resulted in their release,” he remarked.
He, nonetheless, did not reveal if a ransom was paid prior to their liberation.
Mamu had declared his withdrawal from the negotiations, citing a threat to his safety.
