Ayeni and Timothy Oguntayo were accused of colluding to illicitly channel depositors’ funds held at Skye Bank Plc for personal usage at various intervals.

One of the allegations states: “That you, Tunde Ayeni, while serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the defunct Skye Bank Plc, and Timothy Ajani Oguntayo, while functioning as the Managing Director of the defunct Skye Bank Plc, committed criminal breach of trust regarding depositors’ funds in the defunct Skye Bank Plc’s Suspense Account on or about October 16, 2014, at Abuja, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, while serving as bankers.

They pleaded “not guilty” to the accusations.
