Eric Howard Carmen (August 11, 1949 – March 10, 2024) was an American vocalist, songwriter, guitarist, keyboardist, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer who attained considerable success both as the principal singer and chief songwriter of the power-pop ensemble the Raspberries in the early 1970s and as a notably successful solo performer from the mid-1970s onwards.
